The Book Fairy
Bringing the MAGIC of books to children everywhere...
- Full Program: A typical session is 30 - 45 minutes per group, includes storytelling, interactive book reading, literacy lesson, & bookmarks for each child. Only $200 for 2 hours (usually four groups). Full Day Programs are negotiable.
- Specialty Program: Includes advertising/visiting your program usually as an emcee or special guest, meet and greet, bookmarks for each child, and a short 10 - 15 minute presentation (combined story/literacy lesson). Only $75 per hour.
- Birthday Party: Includes bookmarks for each child, storytelling, games and fun! $50 Fee for one hour of entertainment at a party. The Book Fairy is great for Princess themed or Fairy Tale parties.
- Travel costs outside of the San Antonio area will be negotiated, currently at the rate the government allows per mile.
AGES AND GROUPS:
- Appropriate for pre-school through 5th grade students, excellent for K- 3rd.
- Experience with small groups of 15, as well as large groups of 100+ children.
- For larger groups a document camera and projector is used so the books can be easily seen.
PHILOSOPHY:
- Many storytellers or those who visit schools do a great job of entertaining the kids, but why don't we do more? The only way to encourage reading is by READING a BOOK. Let's do it, not just talk about it. The Book Fairy encourages reading through a hilarious, interactive, characterization of books. She also makes the kids PROMISE to be good readers and tells them we want strong, fast monster truck brains, not coach potato brains!!

*BOOKMARKS: The Book Fairy has her own special bookmarks, with some of her magical fairy dust on them. So no matter where you go, or what you read, you will always have some of her magic with you to help you be a better reader.
